Machine Examples
Kennametal Stellite (Hettiger Stellite GmbH) provides a complete range of PTA equipment for manual, semiautomatic and fully automated machines. Our PTA equipment can operate at welding currents from 5 A to 350 A.
Combined with a wide range of torches, deposition rates from 0,1 up to 15kg/h can be achieved.
The machines are used in the following areas:

Valve Star ll
The Valve Star ll is a fully automated machine for the hard-facing of automotive valves. The equipment can be integrated easily into the customers' valve conveying system.
Coating Star lll
The fully automated Coating Star lll PTA welding machine is used for the internal and external coating of large parts, for example extruder screws or shafts, with a length of up to 10 metres.
Coating Star lll
This version of the Coating Star lll has a tilting rotary table which provides greater flexibility when surfacing large parts, such as shafts or fittings, with a length of up to 6 metres and a weight of up to 5 tons.
Coating Star lll
A significant productivity gain is available with the two-station version of this machine, with one person operating two welding heads.
Coating Star lV
The Coating Star lV is used for large diesel engine valves. The length of the work-piece can be up to 2m.
