Component Manufacturing & Processing
We manufacture wear-resistant components and assemblies finished in accordance with customer requirements. Our many years of experience of alloy selection for specific wear situations and our full range of manufacturing processes enable us to develop optimum solutions with our customers.
We employ two different approaches for solving our customers’ wear problems:
 |
Coating components which wear only at particular areas
We can overlay the component locally using either welding processes or thermal spraying processes.

|
Manufacturing monolithic components from Nickel- or Cobalt-based alloys (e.g. Stellite®)
Depending on the customer's needs, we can select from several processes:
- Resin Shell Casting
- Investment Casting
- Centrifugal Casting
- Sand Casting
As well as these casting processes we also employ powder metallurgy to manufacture monolithic components.

Machining
The successful finishing of Kennametal Stellite alloys requires long-term experience and detailed know-how.
In addition to more than 150 machine tools and CNC machining centres, we have a well equipped pattern-making workshop.
